Job summary

Dover Food Retail is seeking a Supervisor, Production (2nd shift) in South Chesterfield, VA. The role provides leadership to team leads and hourly production teammates to meet safety, quality, and productivity targets.

Responsibilities include implementing standard work, driving continuous improvement, maintaining schedules, inventory controls, and cross-functional collaboration to satisfy customer expectations. Strong leadership and manufacturing experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a leadership position (team lead, supervisor, etc.).
• Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to team leaders and frontline hourly production teammates; ensure a safe work environment, set expectations, provide resources, coach and train associates, ensure accountability.
• Develop, implement, and audit daily standard work.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Maintain production schedule meeting quality and productivity requirements.
• Maintain good inventory control for raw materials.
• Collaborate with supply chain, quality, shipping and other departments to meet targets.
