Job summary

Dover Food Retail is seeking a Supervisor, Production – Fabrication to lead a team of hourly workers in South Chesterfield, VA. You will ensure safety, define expectations, coach staff, and maintain daily standards to meet quality and productivity targets.

Responsibilities include scheduling, resource allocation, data-driven decision making, and collaboration with supply chain and quality teams. A strong emphasis on lean methods and effective communication is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a leadership position.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Willing to work extended and/or weekend hours when required.
• Two years’ experience with 5S, Lean/Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to team leaders and hourly production team members.
• Ensure a safe work environment and enforce safety rules.
• Develop, implement, and audit daily standard work.
• Drive continuous improvement and conduct root cause analysis.
• Maintain production schedule and inventory control for raw materials.
• Coordinate with supply chain, quality, and shipping to meet targets.
• Capture data and communicate decisions with documentation.
