Job summary

Tyson Foods in the United States is seeking a 2nd shift supervisor to lead production teams in the Prepared Foods division. The role focuses on maintaining high production, quality, and yields while ensuring a safe work environment.

You will manage staffing, training, and coaching, ensure compliance with policies, and collaborate with other supervisors to resolve issues. A strong leadership background and commitment to safety are essential.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma; vocational or college courses preferred.
• Experience: 1+ years’ manufacturing experience; supervisory experience preferred.
• Computer Skills: Basic computer skills.
• Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Special Skills: Leadership, problem-solving, strong work ethic, ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Build the best team: hiring, training, retaining, and counseling on benefits, compensations, and policies; guide stretches and rotate workstations.
• Check daily production orders to ensure fulfillment, proper shipments, inventory rotation, and product coding.
• Ensure all workstations on the line are staffed before production start.
• Ensure all machinery and workstations pass USDA inspections.
• Promote safety daily and during monthly safety meetings.
• Oversee processing operations and work with other supervisors to solve problems.
• Provide ongoing education on quality importance.
• Perform other responsibilities as needed.
