Sportech, Inc. in Elk River, MN is seeking a dedicated Shift Supervisor to lead a department on assigned shifts and uphold production goals.

You will coach staff, monitor schedules, and ensure safe, efficient operations while delivering on continuous improvement initiatives and lean practices in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role requires 3–5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, strong communication skills, and the ability to motivate teams.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree preferred with 3-5 years supervisory experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and manage shift personnel.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve conflict and build teamwork.
• Equipment trouble-shooting and mechanical aptitude strongly preferred.

• Coach and develop employees to maximize effectiveness and career growth.
• Review daily production schedule for the department and plan work and staffing for the shift.
• Create and deliver presentations on operational topics.
• Supervise and direct personnel on shift per policies and procedures.
• Performance management including coaching, development and reviews.
• Hire, train and evaluate staff.
• Document and deliver quarterly and end-of-year performance reviews.
• Conduct probationary and annual performance reviews with department manager.
• Lead safety initiatives and sustain a safe work environment.
• Support department goals and lean initiatives.
• Identify delays and communicate with Production Manager with ETA for resumption.
• Ensure accurate production documentation and submissions for approval.
• Review cost standards with leadership to drive improvements and lean processes.
• Drive continuous improvement and recognize outstanding work in pre-shift meetings and 1:1s.
• Collaborate across departments and shifts.
• Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.
• Maintain housekeeping standards and support HR procedures.
• Perform other related duties as needed.
