Job summary

O&K American Corp. in Seymour, IN is seeking a Production Operator for the 2nd shift to descale coil and coat steel wire/rod so it can be annealed or processed in wire draw machines.

The role requires reading and following production procedures, operating overhead cranes and forklifts, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment. O&K offers competitive wages, benefits, and opportunities for overtime.

Qualifications

• Able to read, write and speak English.
• Basic computer skills.
• Overhead crane experience in an industrial setting is preferred.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• To descale coil and coat steel wire/rod so it can be annealed or processed in wire draw machines.
• Operate overhead cranes and forklifts and follow safety procedures.
• Read, understand, and follow production procedures for CH.
• Follow schedule for wire drawing, cleaning house, shipping, and annealing.
• Keep area clean and organized following 5s program.
