Job summary

Insteel Industries is seeking a Machine Operator for an industrial manufacturing setting with two shifts: 1st shift from 4:45AM to 3:00PM and 2nd shift from 2:45PM to 1:00AM. You will work hands-on with steel wire processing equipment and join a team focused on safety and efficiency.

The role requires mechanical aptitude, basic math skills, and the ability to follow procedures, document production data, and assist in equipment maintenance as needed.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to operate and adjust basic mechanical equipment.
• Ability to perform simple arithmetic and measurements.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production equipment on assigned shift.
• Identify and repair simple mechanical stalls or jams.
• Follow safety rules and wear PPE as required.
• Document production data and basic entries into computer systems.
• Assist in machine maintenance and area housekeeping as needed.
