Job summary

Dawn Foods in Louisville, Kentucky, United States, is seeking a Production Machine Operator I for 2nd shift. You will work onsite, processing ingredients, mixing formulas, and packaging materials for shipping in a climate-controlled facility.

Competitive pay at $21/hour plus a $0.25/hour shift differential plus a $1.50 increase every six months for up to two years, with potential to reach a max rate of $29.87. Overtime per UFCW contract; weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members.
• Strong math skills to measure and compute units.
• Ability to follow written or verbal instructions.
• Ability to work well in a team or independently.
• Forklift certification is helpful and can be obtained.

Responsibilities

• Ensure products meet specifications, food safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain housekeeping per GMP, AIB, IFS, HACCP standards.
• Operate computer systems as required in production processes.
• Operate auxiliary equipment as needed for functions.
• Follow safety instructions to ensure high-quality, food-safe product.
• Follow SSOPs and GMPs, including checks and labeling.
• Communicate quality, safety, or scheduling issues to lead or supervisor.
• Keep workstation clean and organized.
• Assist in training new team members.
