Job summary

Sherwin-Williams is seeking a manufacturing operator to join our 2nd shift production team in Elkhart, Indiana. The role involves setting up, running, and maintaining equipment to fill and package products for shipment, while upholding a safe and clean work environment.

You will operate high-speed dispersers and filling machines, monitor quality, maintain logs, and collaborate across departments to ensure on-time production. A shift differential applies and a bonus program is available.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year in a manufacturing or distribution facility.
• 1 year monitoring gauges, dials or machinery indicators.
• 1 year operating machinery in manufacturing/distribution environments.
• 1 year monitoring quality of raw materials and finished goods.
• 1 year operating packaging equipment (robotics, filling, case packers, labelers).
• 1 year using material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks.

Responsibilities

• Operate paint making control systems and manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Breakdown and clean equipment, tanks, valves and lines.
• Package and label filled containers to specs.
• Monitor raw materials and finished goods for quality.
• Keep logs and perform minor repairs; report breakdowns promptly.
• Maintain production records and reports as required.
• Collaborate with other departments to complete production orders.
