Job summary

SEKISUI Aerospace in Sumner, WA is seeking a Production Manager for the 2nd shift to lead manufacturing operations and ensure on-time delivery of aerospace components. The role drives continuous improvement, safety, and quality while coordinating with engineering and quality teams.

The position requires 5–10 years in lean manufacturing, strong leadership, and experience in setting up production for new programs, with a focus on reducing waste and maximizing throughput.

Qualifications

• Lean manufacturing experience with 5S, Kanban, and standard work implementations.
• Strong leadership to coach, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration across departments.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the manufacturing floor operations and communicate needs with other departments.
• Set up production floor space for new programs and participate in NPIs from SOW to mass production.
• Organize programs to plan, schedule, support, and improve manufacturing efforts and reduce non-value-added activities.
• Maintain a clean, high-quality, and safe production facility.
• Lead team communications to improve throughput and reduce waste.
• Coach and develop the team to investigate root causes for scrap and RMA with engineering and quality.
• Reduce variation using Lean tools (5S, Kanban, standard work).
• Develop standard work and review work instructions via change requests for standardization.
• Set benchmarks and guide quality improvements of products; drive continuous improvement.
