Job summary

Tyson Foods, Wilkesboro Plant, is seeking a Sr Manager Production (APM) for the 2nd shift to lead production operations. The role emphasizes cost control, safety, quality, and compliance with OSHA, USDA, and HACCP standards.

Responsibilities include mentoring supervisors, staffing, and ensuring efficient shift performance while maintaining strict food safety practices and regulatory adherence.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; college degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in related industry; 5+ years of poultry supervisory experience preferred; knowledge of OSHA, USDA, and HACCP regulations.
• Proficient in standard computer applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to interact effectively with team members at all levels and government officials.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities.
• Occasional travel (0–20%).

Responsibilities

• Control expenses and ensure compliance with federal meat inspection, OSHA, and company policies.
• Maintain the non-union program and assess manpower needs.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports.
• Solve problems effectively and follow up on actions.
• Collaborate with department heads to achieve production, quality, and safety goals.
• Oversee housekeeping, safety, sanitation, security, and food safety standards.
• Manage, evaluate, and train production supervisors.
• Lead designated shift operations and handle other responsibilities assigned by the plant manager.
