Job summary

Canam Steel Corporation seeks a Production Supervisor in Washington, MO to lead and develop a manufacturing team on the 2nd shift. You will drive safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people objectives while aligning with lean initiatives and plant goals.

You will coach associates, plan staffing, monitor KPIs, and engage with HR to resolve issues. The role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership under Canam Steel’s safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree in business, management, engineering or related field preferred.
• 5 years of management experience preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in industrial manufacturing preferred.
• Welding experience strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of LEAN Manufacturing Principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety standards and coach behaviors; ensure training compliance.
• Guide team to meet daily KPIs through planning and problem solving.
• Plan staffing and training; provide regular feedback to reports.
• Maintain employee morale, communication, and coaching; partner with HR.
• Oversee LEAN initiatives under the Plant Manager for plant improvements.
• Manage time/attendance, schedules, production data, and reporting.
• Support monthly physical inventory and end-to-end production understanding.
