Job summary

Canam Steel Corporation in Washington, MO is hiring for a production role on the 2nd shift (4:00 PM - 12:30 AM) with OT including some weekends. You will set up and operate machines to cut, stamp, bend, punch or form steel components used in joists, girders and other structural pieces.

Base pay plus overtime and bonuses contribute to total compensation up to about $66K per year for a 50-hour week. Training on 1st shift may be required initially and referrals bonuses are available.

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret shop paperwork and drawings to set up machines.
• Able to use tape measure, micrometer, calipers and similar measuring tools.
• Willing to learn tack welding and operate overhead cranes or move materials.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machines to form steel components for joists, girders and other parts.
• Place and tack weld steel components on an assembly line.
• Read drawings and measurements to ensure correct production.
• Move raw materials and finished goods using cranes or other equipment.
