Job summary

3M is seeking a Production Manufacturing Supervisor for the Clarkston, GA area on the 2nd shift. The role leads hourly production staff, ensures safety, quality, and timely output, and partners with planning and quality teams to meet customer demand.

The position emphasizes coaching, continuous improvement, and adherence to lean principles. Qualifications include a high school diploma with 6 years of manufacturing experience (or a bachelor’s degree with 3 years of experience) and at least 1 year

Qualifications

• Six (6) years of manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment or a Bachelor’s degree with at least three (3) years of manufacturing experience.
• One (1) combined year of supervisory and/or leadership experience in a private, public, government or military environment.
• Lean skills and ability to manage multiple priorities are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe working environment through inspections, audits, and coaching.
• Investigate incidents and perform root cause analysis for EHS and quality.
• Plan, coordinate, and assign work to meet daily production requirements.
• Monitor rates, yields and quality; provide feedback to teams and supervisors.
• Communicate effectively to employees and enable direct supervision and development of hourly staff.
• Organize and optimize changeovers to minimize downtime.
• Address production issues related to scheduling, quality and run time.
• Lead Kaizen and Lean initiatives to improve quality and reduce costs.
