Job summary

S.I.C. Recycling is seeking a hands-on Supervisor for the 2nd shift in Riverton, IL. You will lead Laborers and Operators, ensure safe, efficient production, and serve as the go-to floor expert.

Candidates with scrap metal processing knowledge and leadership skills will thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will train staff, enforce safety policies, and coordinate with the Weekday Manager. The role supports a strong safety-first culture and operates on a 4‑day shift with a generous benefits

Qualifications

• Experience supervising teams in production/manufacturing or scrap/recycling.
• Knowledge of scrap metal processing equipment.
• Ability to train others to operate machines safely.
• Strong communication and leadership skills and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise Laborers and Operators on the shift and assign tasks.
• Oversee production to keep the shift safe, efficient, and on pace.
• Monitor material flow, logs, and production records.
• Train new employees and reinforce equipment safety procedures.
• Enforce safety policies and address hazards on the floor.
• Communicate shift updates to the Weekday Manager.
• Operate equipment as needed to support the crew.
• Coordinate loading/unloading and material handling across the shift.
• Address personnel issues and maintain a clean production floor.
