McWane Plant and Industrial (MPI) in Calera, AL, is seeking a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor to lead daily machining, fabrication, assembly, and valve production operations. You will direct hourly staff, maintain safe, efficient schedules, and drive continuous improvement initiatives in a high-mix, low-volume environment.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of manufacturing experience in machining, fabrication, assembly, or industrial production operations.
• 2-5 years of frontline supervisory experience leading hourly manufacturing employees.
• Experience supervising teams of 15-30 employees in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with high-mix, low-volume, make-to-order manufacturing.
• Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen training encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Promote and enforce all company safety policies and procedures.
• Direct daily activities of machining, fabrication, assembly, and production personnel.
• Balance labor resources, machine capacity, material availability, and changing priorities.
• Drive improvements in throughput, lead time reduction, and on-time delivery.
• Lead, coach, and develop production employees; manage performance and attendance.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Planning, Maintenance, and Supply Chain.
