Job summary

McWane Plant & Industrial is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations across machining, fabrication, assembly, and valve production. You will guide hourly staff, ensure safety, throughput, and quality, and drive continuous improvement in a high-mix, low-volume setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, Business, or related field preferred.
• 5-7 years of manufacturing experience in machining, fabrication, assembly, or industrial production operations.
• 2-5 years of frontline supervisory experience leading hourly manufacturing employees.
• Experience supervising teams of 15-30 employees in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in high-mix, low-volume, make-to-order manufacturing environment.
• Experience with engineered products, machining operations, valve manufacturing, or large industrial equipment preferred.
• Large-part machining experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote and enforce all company safety policies and procedures.
• Direct daily activities of machining, fabrication, assembly, and production personnel.
• Manage schedule attainment and ensure production commitments are met.
• Balance labor resources, machine capacity, material availability, and changing customer priorities.
• Coordinate production activities to minimize downtime and bottlenecks.
• Drive improvements in throughput, lead time reduction, on-time delivery, and WIP management.
• Ensure products meet engineering specifications, customer requirements, and company quality standards.
• Partner with Quality and Engineering teams to resolve manufacturing issues.
• Lead Lean Manufacturing and operational improvement initiatives.
• Implement standard work, setup reduction, time studies, and efficiency improvements.
