Job summary

JBS USA in Mason, Ohio seeks an experienced Production Lead for 2nd shift to guide a team of hourly workers and drive safety, quality, and efficiency on the production floor.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Familiar with GMP and HACCP programs; SQF, GMP, and HACCP certification a plus
• Ability to motivate a diverse workforce and lead by example; coach, train, and take corrective action when appropriate
• Must demonstrate critical thinking skills and possess a problem-solving mentality
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
• Ability to speak, read, and write English; bilingual Spanish preferred
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Good math skills

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of hourly team members to achieve business results.
• Achieve targets in a safe and efficient manner.
• Coordinate activities with production, procurement, maintenance, warehouse, and quality departments to achieve and sustain results.
• Support team members by maintaining a visible presence on the production floor.
• Maintain an engaged and team-oriented workforce.
• Provide support to company policies and procedures.
• Create an environment that expresses concern and consistency toward all team members.
• Promote cooperation and dedication to superior workmanship among all team members.
• Provide training for team members on company policies, rules, regulations and job specific duties and responsibilities.
• Monitor and enforce adherence to GMP’s and specifications.
