Job summary

JBS USA is seeking a Machine Operator GL3 for the 2nd shift to support production of meat and related products in Mason, OH. The role involves precise adjustments, basic troubleshooting, and programming adjustments as needed.

The position emphasizes safety, GMPs, and quality standards, with a comprehensive benefits package. The ideal candidate will have production experience, be 18+, and able to operate and maintain equipment while working with packaging materials.

Qualifications

• Must be proficient in General Production 2.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma/GED preferred.
• 2+ years’ production industry experience preferred.
• Must understand and comply with company, plant, and safety rules/policies.
• Basic understanding of production and procedures.
• Ability to use knives, saws, and a variety of machinery.
• Ability to lift and package product with both arms and hands.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work area for pre- and post-operational activities.
• Load, unload, and transfer product to and from equipment or conveyors.
• Monitor production lines, identify issues, supply and replenish packaging materials as necessary.
• Sort, weigh, wrap, label, verify or measure product to meet specifications.
• Inspect and remove defective products and/or packaging materials from the process.
• Arrive at workstation on time, stay until work is complete or directed otherwise.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Set up and teardown of equipment, select pre-determined settings.
• Perform safety checks and operate pallet jack/riders/forklift equipment.
• Modify and create program settings to meet production standards.
• Provide machine adjustments and troubleshooting when required.
• Other duties as assigned.
