Job summary

The role involves directing daily activities of production staff, managing material handling, applying lean methods (5S, Kaizen, Kanban), conducting safety training and coordinating with safety to maintain a safe environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of food production manufacturing experience.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct, coordinate and monitor daily activities and performance of production staff to ensure high productivity, quality, safety and adherence to policies.
• Coordinate and monitor material handling activities for direct and indirect labor.
• Manage employee performance, provide training and conduct evaluations.
• Take corrective action in line with company policy and lead shift meetings.
• Prioritize and assign daily work, monitor line staffing and overtime.
• Implement lean principles (5S, Kaizen, Kanban) and maintain SOPs.
• Maintain inventory using a warehouse management system (WMS).
