Job summary

Celestica Inc. is seeking a Production Cell Leader for the 2nd shift to guide a team through assembly, soldering and test processes. You will monitor performance, manage workflow, and ensure product quality while meeting deadlines.

The role requires 4–5 years of relevant experience, a high school diploma, and familiarity with SAP/ERP systems. This on-site position offers growth within Celestica's operations network.

Qualifications

• Must possess specific certifications as defined by site operations.
• Knowledge of board assembly process and product process flow.
• Knowledge of product quality, soldering specifications and SMT processing systems.
• Ability to set up, operate, and maintain assembly and hand soldering equipment and tools.
• Ability to recognize problems in the assembly process or with assembly components and to address those problems.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of internal and external customers.
• Ability to work effectively with team members and lead the team to high quality production within tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of computer applications and the ability to accurately perform tasks in Word, Lotus Notes, Excel and documentation control systems.
• More advanced manufacturing system knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Acts as lead and problem solver, balances personnel and facilitates movement of products through area.
• Monitors conduct, performance and contribution of cell members.
• Performs manual assembly, SMT, soldering, testing, inspection, and repair.
• Monitors quantity and quality output, leads teams to meet goals.
• Compiles data and generates reports on cell performance.
• Maintains appropriate technical and leadership skills.
