AMETEK Inc., through its Zygo unit in Middlefield, CT, seeks a Precision Assembly Technician to assemble and align laser interferometer systems and subassemblies to exact specifications. The role requires reading BOMs/schematics, strong math aptitude, and meticulous attention to detail.

The 2nd shift (2:00pm–10:30pm) offers shift differentials and potential first-shift training during a transition. Candidates should be able to lift up to 20 lbs and work in a cleanroom environment with safety and

Formación

High school diploma or GED required.
0–2 years in production/manufacturing/assembly.
Good math aptitude and ability to read technical docs (BOM, schematics, layouts).
Excellent manual dexterity and careful handling of delicate components.
Strong attention to detail and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilidades

Assemble and align laser interferometer systems and subassemblies.
Follow detailed procedures, work instructions, and quality standards.
Maintain cleanroom protocols and contamination control.
Collaborate with engineering for process development, validation, and continuous improvement.
Document work with high accuracy and maintain traceability of parts.
Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for production issues.
Maintain required training certifications and safety compliance.
Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs and stand for long periods.
