Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America’s St. George, UT facility is seeking a PLC Technician to install, monitor, and repair PLC devices and related systems. You will support PLCs, HMIs, instrumentation, and other electronics to ensure equipment runs at desired capacity and quality.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, predictive maintenance, safety inspections, CMMS documentation, and mentoring teammates. High school diploma or equivalent required; 4–6 years in industrial maintenance/PLC preferred.

Trade/technical school preferred in industrial automation, electricity-electronics, PLC, etc.
4 to 6 years of industrial maintenance electrical or PLC experience, preferably in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, repair, and adjust control systems including PLCs and HMIs.
Troubleshoot and repair motors, drives, and power distribution.
Diagnose downtime causes and repair accordingly.
Perform preventive/predictive maintenance to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
Monitor PLC devices and systems for functionality.
Test connections between PLCs and other equipment.
Conduct regular safety inspections.
Maintain CMMS records for parts and asset performance.
Assist with setup/installation of new equipment utilities.
Provide technical support for users and other technicians.
Train and mentor junior technicians and operators.
Document and maintain procedural documents.
Communicate issues to management and other departments.
Stay updated on new products and techniques.
Identify process improvement opportunities.
Maintain safe working conditions and comply with GMP and safety standards.
Other duties as assigned.
