Job summary
Dairy Farmers of America in Richmond, IN is seeking a 2nd Shift Dairy Manufacturing Maintenance Tech to join our team. This role performs maintenance, preventive maintenance, overhauls, fabrication, welding, and electrical troubleshooting to keep production equipment operating safely and efficiently.
Related duties include installing new equipment and assisting operators with training and troubleshooting. The role requires a HS diploma and 2–4 years in maintenance with PLC/HMI and ammonia
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2–4 years maintenance experience in manufacturing.
- Experience with PLC/HMI and HVAC preferred.
- Ammonia refrigeration experience preferred.
- Certification/licensure may be required.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repairs on production, processing, packaging, and utility-related equipment.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and routine inspections.
- Read electrical schematics and service manuals; interpret work orders.
- Support installation of new equipment.
- Assist operators with training and troubleshooting.
- Maintain documentation and complete paperwork per SOPs.
- Uphold GMP and safety regulations.
