Job summary
Campbell's Downers Grove, IL is hiring an Electrical PLC Technician to ensure safe, reliable plant operations for production and utility systems. You will troubleshoot electrical and control systems, program PLCs, work with HMIs, and support continuous improvement across the facility on a 2nd shift schedule.
You will read schematics, install wiring, and maintain drives, motors, and networking; strong emphasis on safety, attendance, and teamwork.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years in industrial electrical, automation, or electromechanical maintenance.
- 2+ years PLC programming and troubleshooting experience.
- 2+ years of HMI troubleshooting experience.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to safety programs and regulatory requirements.
- Troubleshoot, repair, install, maintain, and modify electrical and control systems.
- Diagnose single- and multi-phase systems up to 600V.
- Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on equipment.
- Upgrade outdated electrical and control installations.
- Document equipment and electrical drawings.
- Support standardization with Allen-Bradley components.
- Perform startups, checkouts, testing, and power testing.
- Reload PLCs after outages or faults.
- Install wiring, conduits, and localization of wiring.
- Assist mechanical maintenance as needed.
- Provide hardware/software support to teams.
- Troubleshoot motors, VFDs, servo systems, and networks.
