Job summary

Airgas is seeking a 2nd shift Plant Operator at its Ringgold, GA facility focused on acetylene production and cylinder filling. You will oversee safe and efficient operation of the production line, including equipment like compressors and filling stations, while maintaining accurate documentation.

The role emphasizes safety, adherence to procedures, and teamwork with fellow operators. A forklift may be used; the schedule is Monday–Friday with a possible monthly incentive and comprehensive

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Care for and steward equipment in the production facility, including compressors, pumps, filling stations, and forklifts.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance contributions to keep equipment in good condition.
• Safely support cylinder flow and transport, including filling and quality checks.
• Operate equipment like a forklift to move materials and products safely.
• Maintain records of equipment maintenance, cylinder tracking, and production activities.
