Job summary

Airgas, Inc. in Ringgold, GA is seeking a 2nd shift Plant Operator to safely run and support our acetylene production and cylinder filling operations, ensuring quality and continuous supply.

You will care for equipment, perform inspections, assist with cylinder handling and filling, and keep accurate records while following safety protocols. A forklift experience is preferred; 18+ with a high school diploma required, and a comprehensive benefits package accompanies this role.

Qualifications

• Applicants should be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Care for and steward equipment in production facility (compressors, pumps, filling stations, forklifts) to ensure a steady supply of industrial gases.
• Inspect and maintain equipment; promptly report needs to help the team succeed.
• Safely support cylinder flow, filling, and quality checks while following safety guidelines.
• Forklift experience is a plus for moving materials safely within the facility.
• Record maintenance, cylinder tracking, and production activities to foster transparency.
• Maintain adherence to safety protocols and participate in safety initiatives.
