Job summary

Airgas in Durham, NC is seeking a Plant Operator to support the filling of cylinders and maintain safe, efficient production. You will help steward equipment, perform inspections and assist with documentation and quality checks.

The role requires 18+ years and a high school diploma; forklift experience is preferred. Airgas offers comprehensive benefits and a 1st shift from 6am to 2:30pm, with opportunities for growth in a leading gas supplier.

Qualifications

• Requires 18 years or older and a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred experience in plant operations or industrial maintenance; technical certification is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and safety-conscious approach.

Responsibilities

• Care for and steward equipment within the production facility, including compressors, pumps, filling stations and forklifts.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance tasks to keep equipment in good condition.
• Safely support cylinder flow, transport, filling and quality checks per safety guidelines.
• Operate a forklift safely to move materials and products around the facility.
• Contribute to accurate records of maintenance, cylinder tracking and production activities.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and participate in team safety meetings.
