Job summary

Shambaugh & Son is seeking a 2nd Shift Fabricator for the Fire Fabrication Shop to fabricate pipe for fire protection systems. In this role you will use various machinery, read assembly instructions, and work under supervision.

The ideal candidate is 18+, able to stand 8-12 hour shifts, able to lift up to 50 lbs, and has good communication skills. Weekend availability and reliable attendance are required; a strong work ethic is essential.

Qualifications

• Read a tape measure down to 1/4 inch.
• Be dependable with good attendance and a positive attitude.
• Communicate ideas clearly both verbally and in writing.
• Willing to learn and follow directions from supervisors.
• Able to work Saturdays and extended hours as required.
• 18 years or older with good work ethic and attention to detail.
• Ability to push, pull or lift up to 50 lbs and stand 8–12 hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble pipe per instructions.
• Read parts list and verify presence of all parts.
• Use various machinery and interpret instructions.
• Follow directions from supervisors and troubleshoot issues.
• Ensure parts are fitted and screws are connected properly.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and report errors.
