Job summary

Shambaugh & Son is seeking a Fabricator for the Fire Fabrication Shop to fabricate pipe for fire protection systems. You will work with various machinery and read assembly instructions to ensure correct parts are assembled and measurements are accurate.

Ideal candidates are dependable, detail-oriented, and able to communicate effectively. Weekend hours may be required, and safety and attendance are emphasized in this role.

Qualifications

• Read a tape measure to 1/4 inch.
• Dependable with good attendance.
• Willing to learn and work overtime including Saturdays.
• Able to communicate clearly in writing and speech.
• 18 years or older.
• Detail-oriented and able to follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Use machinery to fabricate pipe per instructions.
• Study and interpret assembly instructions.
• Read parts lists and verify presence.
• Assemble tools, materials and components.
• Interpret measurements and verify specs.
• Maintain clean and safe work area and report issues.
