Job summary

GSC Wholesale LLC in Houston seeks a Pest Control Sanitarian to oversee inspections, audit processes, and implement proactive pest control strategies to maintain compliance and safety in distribution facilities.

The role includes 2nd shift, typical hours 7:00 PM to completion, Monday–Friday, with weekly pay and benefits from day one. Training is provided and safety shoes may be subsidized in some locations.

Qualifications

• Specialized Knowledge : Work experience in product safety, hazmat compliance, health inspections and quality assurance.
• Special Skills : Strong self-direction, sense of urgency, problem-solving and resourcefulness.
• Physical abilities: Continually standing, bending, pulling, lifting and walking; capable of lifting 1–60 lbs; multi-level work.
• 2-5 : Work experience in product safety, hazmat compliance, health inspections and quality assurance.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate coolers, storage spaces, workstations, communal areas, and equipment for health or pest threats; implement corrective actions.
• Inspect products in storage and in transit to uphold food safety and quality; evaluate handling and storage procedures.
• Maintain pest inspection and testing records per policies and regulatory standards.
• Initiate performance discussions; enforce health and safety policies and procedures.
• Support departments with proper sanitation practices as needed.
• Operate forklifts/pallet jacks as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
