GSC Wholesale LLC, based in Houston, seeks a Pest Control Sanitarian for 2nd shift to oversee pest inspections at distribution facilities, ensure health and safety compliance, and train staff on prevention. You will audit processes, observe teams, implement corrective actions, maintain pest inspection records, and support sanitation across departments.

Forklift/pallet jack use may be required; shift runs 7:00 p.m. to completion, Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• Experience in product safety, hazmat compliance, health inspections and quality assurance.
• Strong self-direction and urgency; ability to solve complex problems.
• Physical ability to stand, bend, lift up to 60 lbs, and work in a distribution setting.

Responsabilités

Position Overview

As a Pest Control Sanitarian, you will be responsible for overseeing inspections to ensure distribution facilities remain pest-free and compliant with health and safety standards. You will audit work processes and closely observe team members during their tasks, assessing any associated health and safety risks. If any issues are identified, you will promptly take corrective measures to eliminate pest threats. Additionally, you will develop and implement proactive pest control strategies and provide training on pest prevention techniques to ensure ongoing compliance and protect the facility.

Competitive Wage + .75 (night shift differential)

2nd shift, FT, 7:00 / 9:00 p.m. until completion, Monday-Friday, 5 days on/ 2 days off (Saturday off)

You will contribute by:

• Evaluate coolers, storage spaces, workstations, communal areas, and equipment for potential threats to health, safety, or pest control, and implement corrective measures as needed.
• Conduct inspections on products in storage and in transit within the distribution facilities to uphold food safety and product quality standards. Additionally, evaluate product handling and storage procedures to ensure the highest levels of safety, sanitation, and pest control are maintained.
• Maintain records of pest inspections and testing in accordance with company policies and regulatory standards for product safety.
• Initiate performance discussions with team members and supervisors to ensure product safety, healthy working conditions, and maintain effective pest control measures are upheld; take corrective action as needed to enforce health and safety policies and procedures.
• Provide support to all departments with proper sanitation practices, as necessary.
• Operate forklifts and/or pallet jacks, as required.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

• Specialized Knowledge : Work experience in product safety, hazmat compliance, health inspections and quality assurance.
• Special Skills : Strong self-direction, possess a high sense of urgency, demonstrate adept problem-solving skills for intricate situations, and showcase tangible resourcefulness.
• Physical abilities: : Continually Standing, bending, pulling, lifting, and Walking. lifting product weighing between 1 - 60 lbs. Possibility of working on multiple levels of varying height
• 2-5 : Work experience in product safety, hazmat compliance, health inspections and quality assurance.
