Job summary

Kelly Services is hiring a Hardware (PEM) Installer for the 2nd shift in Brockton, MA. You will read blueprints, set up hardware insertion equipment, and assemble mechanical components to exact specifications.

The ideal candidate has prior mechanical assembly experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment. This DIRECT HIRE role offers full benefits and a Mon–Thu 4:00 PM–2:30 AM schedule.

Competitive pay: $19–$26 per hour with benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a mechanical assembler or in a similar manufacturing role.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to follow instructions.
• Sheet metal job shop experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Familiarity with manufacturing safety standards and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and assembly instructions.
• Assemble mechanical components accurately according to specifications.
• Set up and operate hardware insertion machines, including Haeger and PEM equipment.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and other assembly equipment.
• Perform quality checks on completed assemblies.
• Identify and troubleshoot assembly issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing standards.
• Document assembly processes and maintain accurate production records.
• Work with team members and other departments to maintain an efficient workflow.
• Assist with maintenance and repair of assembly equipment as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
