Job summary

TTM Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Plating Operator to operate chemical plating lines for PCB manufacturing, handling hazardous chemicals with training.

The role requires reading blueprints and traveler documents, setting timers, loading racks, and performing preventative maintenance while ensuring safety and quality. Candidates with a high school diploma and manufacturing or PCB experience preferred will join a global leader in printed circuit boards with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Ability to stand for the duration of shift.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, customer specifications, and procedures.
• Basic math, problem solving, interpersonal skills, and computer skills.
• Must possess interpersonal, problem solving, and communication skills.
• Follow all safety measures.

Responsibilities

• Operate wet process equipment for PCB panel processing including copper plating, solder plating, silver immersion, gold immersion, electroless copper, electrolytic gold, outer layer etching, organic coating, and hot air level processing.
• Set and maintain chemical processing equipment within operational parameters.
• Manually set timers on manual chemical lines and monitor when timers are completed.
• Cautiously load racks in plating tanks while ensuring proper temperature/current of baths.
• Read blueprints and traveler documents to produce and move products according to customer specifications and to verify that all previous operations were completed.
• Perform Preventative maintenance on all chemical machines as workload allows.
• Follow all departmental process procedures correctly.
• Complete all departmental documentation accurately.
• Complete quality checks when product arrives in and exits the department.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management and cross-train as needed to assist production.
