Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a warehouse associate for evening shifts at our La Vergne, TN facility. The role focuses on receiving, picking, packing, and shipping tasks while adhering to safety and quality standards.

The position offers scheduling 4:00pm to 9:30pm, with eligibility for benefits and wages starting around $19.00 per hour, depending on experience and location. Candidates should be comfortable using RF scanners, willing to learn equipment, and able to lift up to 80 lbs.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years related experience preferred.
• RF scanner/voice picking experience highly preferred.
• Ability to lift 80 lbs and stand for 8+ hours.

What Warehouse Operations Contributes To Cardinal Health

Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for compliance and regulations concerning OSHA, DEA, FDA, and state/local authorities; adherence to cGMP guidelines
• Applies acquired knowledge and skills to complete standard tasks.
• Readily learns and applies new information and methods to work in assigned area
• Maintains appropriate licenses, training and certifications.
• Works on routine assignments that require some problem resolution.
• Work typically involves regular review of output by work lead or supervisor.
• Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) to process orders including accurately picking, performing quality control checks, and sorting.
• Perform housekeeping and inventory control tasks, maintaining a clean work environment including complying with all Environmental Health and Safety requirements.
• Performs other duties and/or participates in projects as assigned by your manager or other management team member.

• May also require material handling equipment certification
• Accurately performs multiple operational tasks assigned to the individual
• Demonstrates basic material handling/ packaging /warehouse equipment skills
• Performs one or more warehouse operations functions within the operating guidelines of the facility
• Demonstrates effective oral communication skills

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• 1 - 2 years related experience preferred
• Radiofrequency (RF) scanner and/or voice to pick experience highly preferred
• Ability to consistently lift 80 Ibs and be able to bend, reach, stoop, lift and stand for entire shift of 8 hours or more required
• Comfort working with heights 20-30 ft regularly
• Ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift and stand for entire shift
• Must be able to work overtime with little to no advance notice
• Willingness to learn to operate material handling equipment and rotate into various areas of the warehouse
• Able and willing to work in freezer conditions (5°F) to support vaccine order picking and packing when needed
• Willingness to work in refer 36°F-42°F for up to 8 Hours or longer
