Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Warehouse Associate for evening shifts in La Vergne, TN to perform receiving, picking, packing and shipping tasks while adhering to SOPs and safety standards.

You will work in a fast-paced environment, lift up to 50 pounds, and use basic computer systems; training starts on day one.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs to process orders including accurately picking, performing quality control checks, and sorting.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and comply with EH&S requirements.
• Assist with inventory control and housekeeping tasks as directed by supervisor.
• Support other duties and projects as assigned by management.

What Warehouse Operations Contributes To Cardinal Health

Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.

Shift Schedule

Monday to Friday, 4:00pm to 9:30pm (or until task is complete)

Responsibilities

• Responsible for compliance and regulations concerning OSHA, DEA, FDA, and state/local authorities; adherence to cGMP guidelines
• Applies acquired knowledge and skills to complete standard tasks.
• Readily learns and applies new information and methods to work in assigned area
• Maintains appropriate licenses, training and certifications.
• Works on routine assignments that require some problem resolution.
• Work typically involves regular review of output by work lead or supervisor.
• Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) to process orders including accurately picking, performing quality control checks, and sorting.
• Perform housekeeping and inventory control tasks, maintaining a clean work environment including complying with all Environmental Health and Safety requirements.
• Performs other duties and/or participates in projects as assigned by your manager or other management team member.

• Accurately performs multiple operational tasks assigned to the individual
• Demonstrates basic material handling/ packaging /warehouse equipment skills
• Performs one or more warehouse operations functions within the operating guidelines of the facility

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Comfort working with heights 20-30 ft regularly
• Able and willing to work in refer 36°F-42°F for up to 10 Hours or longer
• Able and willing to work in a freezer 5°F for 30-minute increments followed by a 10-minute
• Ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift and stand for entire shift
• Ability to follow direction and change priorities
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Experience working with technologies, like computers or point of sale systems, a plus
• High School Diploma/GED preferred
