Job summary

CHEP is actively seeking a Repair Operator to support pallet maintenance in our facility, located in Scarborough, ME. The role emphasizes hands-on work with pallets, fastening boards, and ensuring safe, efficient operations in a busy environment.

Candidates should have physical strength, good hand-eye coordination, endurance, and the ability to concentrate while following safety protocols. The position offers a 2nd shift from 4pm to 12am with a $22.30 hourly wage plus a $1 shift differential.

Qualifications

• Repair Operators must have physical strength, hand-eye coordination and endurance.
• Ability to concentrate on tasks and follow safety procedures.
• Ability to understand and communicate information effectively.

Responsibilities

• Use pneumatic nail gun and reciprocating saw to repair pallets.
• In repair, place pallet on table, remove defective boards, replace and nail new boards.
• Troubleshoot jams and perform basic maintenance of the saw.
• Stand for long periods of time during shifts.
• Lift pallets weighing 60-75 lbs repeatedly.
