Job summary

Farmer Focus is hiring a Jack Operator for the Acorn Facility to safely move product using electric and/or manual pallet jacks, support production, shipping and plant operations, and ensure accurate picking, transporting, assembling, repacking, weighing, and staging orders while keeping areas clean and safe.

The role requires reading English, ability to work overtime, adapt to poultry environment, and comply with safety, quality and sanitation standards; this is an on-site, full-time, 2nd shift

Qualifications

• Reading and understanding English to identify items on paperwork.
• Ability to communicate verbally with supervisors and associates.
• Willingness and ability to be trained to safely operate an electric pallet jack.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed based on production and business needs.
• Experience or familiarity with poultry production environments is a plus.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate electric and/or manual pallet jacks to move product in and out of coolers, freezers, shipping areas, delivery platforms, and other designated plant locations.
• Efficiently pick customer orders for shipment and ensure correct quantity and type of product is loaded and transported to the required area.
• Assemble merchandise for shipment and transport orders using material handling equipment.
• Stencil, tag, or mark orders as requested to support accurate shipment preparation.
• Repack and weigh orders requiring additional handling and report quality variances.
• Perform daily maintenance tasks and assist with special projects including repairs, installations, and routine or preventative maintenance of machinery and equipment.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area in line with safety, quality, and sanitation standards.
• Communicate with supervisors and associates about work assignments, product movement, quality concerns, and operational needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
