Job summary

V2X, Inc. is hiring a Painter (2nd shift) to support the Modernization and Sustainment site in Indianapolis, Indiana. You will apply coatings, perform finishing techniques, and ensure precise work on diverse items.

The role requires basic surface prep knowledge, 0–2 years of experience, and the ability to work with spray equipment. This position offers competitive pay and benefits in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 0–2 years experience in surface prep and coating methods.
• Thorough knowledge of surface prep and coating methods.
• U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Applies lacquer, rust-proofing agents and other coatings.
• Performs finishing techniques such as marbling and graining.
• Prepares items for painting by tinting, toning, matching and blending.
• Paints articles using brushes and other methods.
• Uses a spray gun as required.
• Transfers items to and from the work area.
• Follows routings, blueprints, specifications and documents.
• Maintains precise coating application to avoid defects.
