V2X is hiring! We are looking for a Painter (2nd shift) to support the Modernization and Sustainment site in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Responsibilities

• Applies lacquer, rust-proofing agents, and other coatings to surfaces.
• Performs special finishing techniques such as marbling and graining.
• Prepares items for painting by tinting, toning, matching, blending, and mixing additives.
• Paints articles using brushes and other methods.
• Is required to use a spray gun.
• Transfers items to and from work area.
• Follows instructions provided through routings, blueprints, specifications, and other documentation.
• Pays close attention to detail to ensure precise coating application and avoid defects.

Qualifications

• Must have a HS Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of 0-2 years of experience in surface preparation and coating methods and techniques.
• Thorough knowledge of accepted surface preparation and coating methods and techniques.
• May be designated according to the article painted.
• Must be a U.S. citizen with ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
