Job summary

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is seeking a Pads Transformer Assembler - 2nd Shift at our Nacogdoches, TX facility. The core hours are 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Overtime may be required. The hourly rate for this position is $18.00 per hour, plus a $1.35 shift differential per hour.

Qualifications

• No relocation benefit; candidates must reside within 50 miles of Nacogdoches, TX facility.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks across various work centers, including tank breakdown, casing, small parts, vacuum chamber, palletizing, final assembly, and testing.
• Attach and install component parts and sub-assemblies onto transformer tanks (e.g., leads, bushings, brackets, fuses, switches, nameplates, arrestors, labels, stencils, bands).
• Load, operate, and unload the vacuum system.
• Place and anchor core/coil assemblies into tanks.
• Execute repetitive hand assembly, fitting, and adjustment operations.
• Use small power hand tools as required.
• Assist welders with the installation of hoods and seals.
• Address nonconforming parts or products through rework.
• Safely operate overhead cranes and hoisting equipment to move materials, components, and finished products.
• Participate in problem-solving processes to improve efficiency and quality.
• Achieve and maintain target production rates; adhere to safety protocols and 5S+ housekeeping.
