Job summary

Eaton's ES AMER ESS division in Nacogdoches, TX seeks a Pads Transformer Assembler on the 2nd shift. You will perform assembly across multiple centers and install components on transformer tanks, load vacuum systems, and ensure safety.

This role offers day-one health benefits and opportunities for overtime, with a base rate of $18.00 per hour plus a $1.35 shift differential. Candidates within 50 miles are encouraged to apply.

• Manufacturing environment experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks across work centers: tank breakdown, casing, small parts, vacuum chamber, palletizing, final assembly and testing.
• Attach/install components onto transformer tanks (leads, bushings, brackets, fuses, switches, nameplates, labels).
• Load, operate, and unload the vacuum system; place core/coil assemblies into tanks.
• Execute repetitive hand assembly, fitting and adjustment operations; use small power tools.
• Assist welders with hoods/seals installation; address nonconforming parts via rework.
• Safely operate overhead cranes/hoisting equipment; support problem solving for efficiency and quality.
• Meet target production rates; adhere to safety protocols and 5S+ housekeeping.

The core hours are Monday - Friday, 2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times. Below are a few of the outstanding benefits we offer:Health benefits effective day one of employment.Retirement benefits, Paid Parental Leave, Educational Assistance Program, Wellness Reimbursement, and more!What you’ll do:The Pads Transformer Assembler uses final assembly operations for electricity transformers in accordance with established standard methods and procedures.In this function, you will:• Perform tasks across various work centers, including tank breakdown, casing, small parts, vacuum chamber, palletizing, final assembly, and testing.• Attach and install component parts and sub-assemblies onto transformer tanks (e.g., leads, bushings, brackets, fuses, switches, nameplates, arrestors, labels, stencils, bands).• Load, operate, and unload the vacuum system.• Place and anchor core/coil assemblies into tanks.• Execute repetitive hand assembly, fitting, and adjustment operations.• Use small power hand tools as required.• Assist welders with the installation of hoods and seals.• Address any nonconforming parts or products through rework.• Safely operates overhead cranes and hoisting equipment to move materials, components, and finished products within the manufacturing facility.• Actively participates in problem-solving processes, contributing to efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement within the organization.• Achieves and maintains target production rates or output levels, ensuring efficient operations and meeting organizational goals.• Adhere to safety protocols, ensures efficient material handling, housekeeping practices (5S+), and company policies and procedures.• Perform other manufacturing duties as assigned.Qualifications:Basic Qualifications:• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.
