Job summary

Total Staffing Solutions is seeking a Machine Operator for a food manufacturing facility in Bolingbrook, IL. This is a performance-to-hire opportunity on 2nd Shift, with a pay rate of $20.81 per hour and a schedule that may include early hours.

The role involves operating high-speed packaging equipment, quality checks, and maintaining a safe production environment. The ideal candidate has prior machine operator experience in manufacturing, GMP familiarity, and the ability to work independently

Qualifications

• Previous Machine Operator experience in a manufacturing environment required.
• Food manufacturing and GMP experience preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic math and computer skills required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate high-speed packaging machinery safely and efficiently.
• Set up machines according to product specifications and production requirements.
• Monitor metal detectors, check weighers, and scales to ensure product quality.
• Perform quality checks, net weight verification, and label inspections.
• Replenish packaging materials such as film, labels, and other supplies.
• Complete production, quality assurance, and operational documentation accurately.
• Follow GMP, Safety, and Allergen Control procedures.
• Assist with machine changeovers, cleaning, and sanitation activities.
• Support Packers and move materials throughout the production area as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
