Job summary

Kloeckner Metals Corporation is seeking an Overhead Crane Operator/Loader for the 2nd shift to handle materials for shipping and receiving. You will operate overhead cranes and forklifts, unload inbound stock, and load outbound shipments while ensuring paperwork is complete.

The role requires 2+ years crane experience, a valid crane certification, and strong safety discipline. High school diploma or GED is expected; DOT regulations knowledge is essential. Overtime availability may apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience operating overhead cranes in an industrial or distribution environment.
• Valid certification to operate overhead cranes is required.
• High School diploma or GED; or 1-3 months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Understanding of DOT regulations regarding load weight.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and operational procedures.
• Reliable with a strong work ethic.
• Willingness to learn new skills and train others.
• Ability to pass a physical examination for vision, hearing, and mobility.
• Demonstrated reliable work history.
• Must be detail-oriented with a strong focus on precision and quality in all tasks.

Responsibilities

• Crane and forklift operations to load/unload, and move materials.
• Handle shipping and receiving, ensuring paperwork is complete.
• Understand customer specifications and reading measuring devices.
• Safely load trucks with proper chaining and tarping.
• Support warehouse operations with additional duties as needed.
