Ryder seeks an Operations Supervisor in Florence, SC to assist the Operations Manager and oversee a shift at our maintenance shop. You will supervise technicians, coordinators, and service staff, ensuring safety, quality, and uptime while aligning with financial targets and asset management.

The role requires maintenance/technical shop experience and supervisory skills, with potential growth toward Operations Manager within a Fortune 500 organization.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma/GED required.
• Associate or Bachelor degree preferred or 1-3+ years in maintenance ops; Ryder experience may substitute.
• Maintenance/Technical shop experience required.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience with a Shop Management System preferred.
• Microsoft Office intermediate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Workflow management: planning, scheduling, assigning work to technicians, productivity tracking.
• Labor management: training and development of personnel; performance management.
• Customer management: maintain relationships, ensure uptime and satisfaction.
• Asset management: oversee shop appearance, equipment, inventory and tooling.
• Quality management: inspections, root-cause analysis, continuous improvement.
• Financial management: cost control, budget, payroll, and invoicing duties.
