Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Second Shift Operations Manager in McAdoo, PA to lead all on-site activities for the 2nd shift across production, packing, and logistics. You will report to the General Manager and drive safety, quality, and efficiency while managing 100+ employees.

The role requires a bachelor's degree and 5–10 years leading large teams in manufacturing or related environments, with strong Lean/problem-solving capabilities and bilingual English/Spanish communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 5-10 years’ experience managing large teams in manufacturing, food production, or greenhouse environments.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without direct authority.

Responsibilities

• Act as senior-most on-site leader during 2nd shift and align across facilities.
• Oversee production, packing, and shipping to meet quality and safety standards.
• Collaborate with Quality, Sanitation, and Maintenance to address issues in real time.
• Manage KPIs such as yield, labor efficiency, throughput, and OTIF shipments.
• Lead Lean and problem-solving initiatives to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Ensure GMPs and food safety compliance; foster disciplined, team-oriented culture.
• Maintain shift reporting, downtime, labor, and throughput data; hand off to next shift.
• Coach shift supervisors and leads to strengthen leadership across the workforce.
