Job summary

Snavely Forest Products in Westminster, MD is seeking an Assistant Operations Manager for the 2nd shift to help plan, direct and coordinate the distribution center operations. You will lead by example to drive performance, productivity, and accuracy, while ensuring on-time customer shipments and compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities include picking/packing, inventory management, loading shipments, coaching staff in product knowledge and equipment operation, and scheduling

Qualifications

• Prior management or supervisory experience is preferred.
• Experience in logistics, dispatch, and/or warehouse environments.
• Knowledge of building materials is a plus.
• Forklift Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, directing, and coordinating the operations of distribution centers.
• Improve performance, productivity, and efficiency of operations.
• Lead by example to motivate all operations staff.
• Pick and pack material to fulfill customer orders.
• Manage inbound/outbound inventory and cycle counts.
• Schedule deliveries to maintain high customer satisfaction.
• Ensure safety and compliance with company policies.
