Job summary

World Market is seeking an Operations Supervisor in Virginia to oversee daily shift activities and a team of 10+ associates. You will supervise 1st or 2nd shift, learn multiple functions, and ensure safety, accuracy, and productivity in receiving, stocking, order fill, and shipping.

Responsibilities include staff development, weekly meetings, and maintaining records. A high school diploma and supervisory experience are preferred; AS400 or WMS familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred; 4 years of college optional.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with AS400 or similar WMS systems.

Responsibilities

• Direct, develop and train a staff of team members.
• Conduct department team members' weekly meetings.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Ensure daily inspection sheets and logs are maintained.
• Manage daily employee paperwork and approvals.
• Adjust staffing based on workload and throughput.
• Maintain performance boards and reporting.
• Assist with pre-hire tasks like background checks.
• Ensure staff knows job standards and learning curves.
• Administer disciplinary actions when needed.
• Promote open communication within the team.
• Maintain current procedure manuals.
• Ensure productivity logs are completed daily.
• Ensure equipment safety and clearance of fire doors/egress.
• Monitor breaks and ensure timeliness.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
