Job summary

World Market, LLC is seeking a Distribution Warehouse Operations Supervisor for our Windsor facility in Virginia. This role will direct and develop a team on 2nd shift, with typical hours 3:30pm-12:00am, and may shift based on operational needs.

You will ensure safety, throughput, and accurate paperwork while maintaining performance boards and training new staff. The ideal candidate has 1+ year supervisory experience, strong communication, and familiarity with AS400/WMS.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma – pref 4 years college.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Team player.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as a team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Familiar with AS400 or similar WMS.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
• Ability to motivate self-directed work teams.
• Must understand and support overall objectives of organization.
• Minimum of one (1) year supervisory experience (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Direct, develop and train a staff of team members.
• Conduct department team members’ weekly meetings.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Ensure daily inspection sheets are maintained (equipment logs and walk-through checklists).
• Process daily employee paperwork (attendance, vacation, requests for time off, VTO forms, etc.).
• React to labor requirements needed in each area to complete daily throughput.
• Maintain performance boards in your work area weekly.
• Assist with pre-hire tasks such as background checks and pre-employment testing.
• Ensure team members have thorough knowledge of their job standards for their work area.
• Maintain learning curves for each new team member in your work area.
• Administer appropriate discipline for policy violations.
• Promote an environment of open lines of communication with staff.
• Maintain a current procedure manual.
• Ensure team members complete daily productivity logs.
• Ensure equipment is maintained and used safely.
• Ensure fire doors and egress lanes are clear.
• Monitor breaks/lunches and ensure punctuality.
• Other duties as assigned.
