Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for the Toledo, OH area on a 2nd shift. The role focuses on mechanical and electrical maintenance across ammonia equipment, chillers, conveyors and related systems.

You will respond to maintenance calls, perform preventative tasks, read blueprints, weld stainless steel, and handle electrical troubleshooting up to 480V. The position is permanent and onsite.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on ammonia equipment, chillers, freezers, conveyor lines, air compressors, and other industry-specific equipment.
• Conduct mechanical troubleshooting of pneumatics, hydraulics, sensors, valves, bearings, motors, and bushings.
• Swap out motors and engage in electrical troubleshooting up to 480v single and three-phase.
• Execute MIG and Stick Welding on stainless steel equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Conduct minor machining installation and rigging.

Job Description

We are seeking skilled Maintenance Mechanics to join our team. Your role will involve responding to maintenance calls, working on projects, and performing preventative maintenance. Our goal is to shift from a 50% preventative and 50% reactive maintenance model to 80% preventative and 20% reactive maintenance. You will handle a variety of industrial equipment, focusing on mechanical and electrical maintenance with a 70/30 split.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $73902.40 - $73902.41/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

Per the union contract, minimum of single coverage sign-up is automatic (meaning for all union employees, they get single coverage deducted automatically once coverage kicks in on Day 61 of employment.) If they want to add family coverage, they will receive a benefits enrollment packet from the union via mail appr. 2-3 weeks prior to coverage starting.

Current Single coverage: $43.47 per paycheck (weekly, pretaxed) Current Single + Spouse: $76.44 per paycheck (weekly, pretaxed) Current Family: $91.35 per paycheck (weekly, pretaxed)

Pension: Following 90-day probationary period: $1.25 per compensable hour; will increase to $1.50 per compensable hour eff. May 2027

ADDITIONAL BENEFITS:We offer attendance bonuses every 6 months - Employees can earn up to one week's paycheck (at 40 hours) in extra PTO, or cash hours in as bonus check based on attendance points calculated from Jan-June and June-Dec in a calendar year.
