Job summary

Tilcon New York, Inc. in West Nyack, NY, is seeking a Mobile Equipment Mechanic for the 2nd shift to diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of mobile equipment across quarry, water terminal, and plant environments.

You will troubleshoot, service and repair electrical, hydraulic and power-train systems, with welding skills required and the ability to work safely in a heavy industrial setting. The role emphasizes adherence to MSHA standards, accurate timekeeping in Infield, and potential

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent.
• Experience with light, medium, & heavy equipment and tugboats.
• Ability to read, understand and follow manuals and schematics.
• Proficient in trouble shooting, repairing and maintaining electrical, hydraulic and power-train systems.
• Able to cut and weld.

Responsibilities

• Inspect work area daily and fill out the Work Area inspection sheet daily.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area and perform housekeeping as directed.
• Accurately record time and enter in Infield system.
• Efficiently fuel equipment and operate fuel truck safely.
• Record equipment numbers, fuel used and meter readings.
• Manage work orders in CMMS.
• Diagnose problems, perform repairs and services on equipment safely and promptly.
• Request parts and complete work order forms.
• Repair and maintain mobile and ground engaging equipment.
• Learn in training classes and assist other departments when needed.
• Implement MSHA standards and report safety concerns.
• Cut and weld as required.
• Maintain regular and timely attendance.
